Chrome extension
Clipboard sync for every device you sign in on
The CopyPaster Chrome extension turns copy and paste into a background job. Copy text on your work laptop and it lands in the clipboard of your home desktop, your second browser profile, and any other device signed in to the same CopyPaster account — no room key, no upload button, no manual step.
Install the extension
Load the CopyPaster extension in Chrome, Edge, Brave, or any Chromium browser.
Sign in with your email
Open the popup, enter your email, and paste the six-digit code we send you. No password to remember.
Turn on auto-copy
Tick “Auto-copy clips from my other devices” on every device that should receive clips automatically.
Copy on one device, paste on another
Copy on your laptop and the text is already in your desktop's clipboard. Press Ctrl+V and carry on.
What auto-copy actually does
When the option is on, the extension keeps a live connection to your account and writes each new clip from your other devices directly into this device's clipboard, so pasting is a single keystroke. With the option off, clips still sync — they simply wait in the popup until you click one. A browser extension cannot type into other applications, so the final Ctrl+V is always yours.
Extension or public-IP room?
Use the extension
For devices you own and use every day, across different networks, where you want copying to be automatic and history to stick around.
Use the room
For a one-off transfer with someone on the same Wi-Fi, or for files and images that should disappear by themselves after an hour.

Does the CopyPaster extension sync my clipboard automatically?
Yes. Every time you copy text in Chrome, the extension saves that clip to your CopyPaster account and pushes it in real time to every other device where the same account is signed in.
Do I have to click anything to paste on the other device?
No. With auto-copy enabled, an incoming clip is written straight into that device's clipboard, so you only press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac). No browser extension is permitted to press paste for you inside another application.
Do I need an account?
Account sync needs one, because the clips belong to you rather than to a network. Signing in takes one email code — no password. The classic CopyPaster room still works with no account at all for devices on the same public IP.
Who can see my clips?
Only your account. Clips are stored per user and protected by row-level security, so no other user and no anonymous visitor can read them. Anything you want end-to-end encrypted should go through a private note instead.
