About CopyPaster
Your devices. One simple handoff.
CopyPaster helps move a link from your laptop to your phone, a document back to your computer, or a quick message between two browsers. Open the site on both devices and pair them with a QR code or invitation link. No account is required.
Each invitation can be used once and expires after five minutes. Pairing selects a specific device; sharing a Wi-Fi connection does not automatically grant access. The connection session lasts up to one hour, after which you can pair again.
A connection between your browsers
Text, chat, and files travel through an encrypted WebRTC data channel. CopyPaster keeps only temporary connection negotiation in server memory. Where a direct network path is unavailable, a configured TURN relay can forward encrypted traffic.
You can share any file type up to 500 MB per file and use clipboard controls supported by your browser. Keep both tabs open while sharing. Received content remains in the receiving tab until cleared or the tab is closed; downloaded files and copied clipboard content remain under your control.
Private notes are a separate tool for sharing browser-encrypted text through a link. They have their own reading and expiration controls.
