How it works
CopyPaster works as an online clipboard: it creates a temporary sharing room from the public IP address visible to the service. Any device routed through that same address — phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop — can read and paste the room content without creating an account or installing an app. This is ideal for quick cross-device text and file transfer, but it is not end-to-end encrypted or intended for confidential data.

The shared text panel works like an online notepad: it accepts up to 20,000 characters and syncs changes live between room participants. Chat is designed for short messages. File sharing supports PNG, JPG, WEBP, PDF, TXT, and DOCX uploads up to 10 MB, and every uploaded file expires automatically after one hour.
A public-IP room is shared by anyone whose traffic reaches CopyPaster through the same public address. That can include family members, coworkers, school users, customers on guest Wi-Fi, or devices behind a VPN gateway. Do not paste passwords, payment details, private keys, medical records, or other sensitive information.
Clear shared text and chat when the handoff is complete. Remove files sooner if they are no longer needed instead of waiting for automatic expiry. If two devices show different room keys, they are using different public routes and will not share the same room.
